Rocky Mountain State Games – Puzzle Race

Get ready for an exciting speed puzzling competition at the Rocky Mountain State Games! Competitors will race against the clock to complete puzzles as quickly as possible in a variety of formats. Whether you're competing solo or with teammates, this event is all about strategy, teamwork, and puzzle-solving speed.

Participants can compete in multiple divisions throughout the day, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded to the top finishers in each event.

Event Divisions

🏆 Solo Speed Puzzle
Individual competitors race to complete a 500-piece puzzle as quickly as possible.

👫 Pairs Speed Puzzle
Teams of two work together to complete a 500-piece puzzle in a fast-paced competition.

🔁 Pairs Relay Puzzle
Two teammates take turns completing two different 300-piece puzzles, switching off relay-style to finish both puzzles within the time limit.

👥 Team Speed Puzzle
Teams collaborate to complete a 1000-piece puzzle, combining teamwork, communication, and speed to claim victory.

8:45 – 9:00 AM — Check-in
9:00 – 11:00 AM — Competition (2 hour time limit)
11:00 – 11:15 AM — Reset for next event

🔁 Pairs Relay – two 200–300 piece puzzles

11:00 – 11:15 AM — Check-in
11:15 – 11:20 AM — Brief instructions
11:20 AM – 12:20 PM — Competition (1 hour time limit)
12:20 – 12:30 PM — Reset for next event

👫 Pairs Speed Puzzle – 500-piece challenge
